You'll be pleased to find out you can take a day-long Lord of the Rings tour with Rover Ring Tours (but it will cost you around NZ$150). For that money you get an enthusiastic guide who manages to bring the scene locations to life and a free lunch at the Chocolate Fish cafe, where the film stars downed many meals. There's a maximum of six people per tour, and a minimum requirement of two people. see for yourself at www.wellingtonrover.co.nz.
