I'd recommend the Dockside, on Queens Wharf. It's a great place, not just because they have excellent food, which includes great seafood, but also because of the decor: it has a nautical theme and a great location on the waterfront. They use local produce, so everything is fresh and top quality. Prices are decent, but it's not cheap: 22-32 NZ$.
