You need to get a license in order to fish. You can get this at the Map & Track Shop on 1225 Fenton Rd. Licenses cost 17 NZ$ per day, 34 NZ$ per week and 90 NZ per season. You can rent the fishing gear from O'Keefe's, on 1113 Eruera St.
