Hy, man. I'm not such a great fan, but I know this place where you can both do river surfing and white-water sledging: Serious Fun (see www.riversurfing.co.nz) it's called, I wonder why... my girlfriend says it leads exhilarating trips over the warmer months down sections of the Kawarau River, surfing river waves and riding whirlpools using modified boogie boards. 'cause guess what... she's the surfing fan!
