There is a Kiwi & Birdlife Park on Brecon St, open from 9 am to 5 pm, where admission is 16 NZ$. This is a great place to relax and watch some beautiful and rare birds. Thre are two kiwi houses, a duck pond, a nursery for the endangered birds and some rare species.
