I suggest you go to Grape Escape, on McShane Rd, it's a complex housing two wineries: Richmond Plains (it has certified organic wine) and Te Mania, as well as a cafe-bar and an art and craft gallery. If you still have the time to take a wine tour, then you shouldn't miss one of the region's biggest wineries: Seifrieds (on Redwood Rd). There you'll find a decent restaurant where you can enjoy quitely a tasty meal and a good wine.
