Hello... I also heard that, but I searched for some more information and I found there is an operator in Nelson that hosts chopper tours, including Lord of the Rings locations, D'Urville Island sea fishing, wine tours and flights over Frewell Spit and Kahurangi and Abel TAsman National Parks. It's called Tasman Helicopters (check out www.tasmanhelicopters.co.nz); the offer is really interesting, but so are the prices (starting from NZ$110).
