There is indeed one, a very interesting one if you ask me. It's in Cathedral Square and it's called Southern Encounter Aquarium & Kiwi House. it's open from 9 am to 4:30 pm, admission is 11 NZ$ and you can see all sorts of marine life here and some kiwis.
