The Botanic Gardens are the most beautiful place in Christchurch where you can have a picnic or a walk or where you can just relax on the grass. It's a huge area of 30 hectares on the river bank, with thousands of spcies of plants, with great thematic gardens and greenhouses. The entrance is through Armagh St and the admission is free.
