The Dive Centre on 128 Wairau Td, Takapuna has a good dive shop, they offer PADI courses and the best thing you can do there is to take one of the diving trips either to Little Barrier Island (155 NZ$ for 2 dives) or to Mokohinau Island and the Hen and Chickens Islands (170 NZ $ for two dives).
